Tammy Conover was prepared to renew the office lease for the her three-person law firm in Greenwood Village, just south of Denver. As the time drew near, though, she had second thoughts about staying, given some concerns about the landlord’s lack of responsiveness and some technology connectivity issues in the building.
With thirty days left on the lease, Tammy contacted Eric Nesbitt to see if moving was a viable option. Within two days, Eric confirmed that there was a good selection of properties available in the same area that would fit her needs – a slightly bigger space in a newer, larger building with more amenities. After quickly narrowing the list, one property seemed ideal, but the buildout cost estimate came back much higher than Tammy and Eric thought was reasonable. The final site they chose was another terrific fit – an ideal suite layout with nice upgrades in a larger, newer building. After a round of negotiations, Tammy was able to get a rental rate that was nearly the same as she currently was paying.
